The tractor will run on dung!

Cow dung has been used worldwide for centuries in agro-farms. But the use of organic fertilizers is decreasing due to the dominance of chemical fertilizers. Similarly, tractors have occupied the place of plough-yoke. Tractors are used for various tasks including farming. Many people now rely on tractors to prepare the land for cultivation. This time, a UK research institute has invented the technology of using dung instead of oil to run this tractor. The research institute named Bennaman has already developed a specialized tractor powered by green energy through methane gas generated from cow dung in joint partnership with agricultural industry institute CNHA. The tract is named New Holland T-Seven. Test drives have shown that this 720 horsepower tractor is at par with any diesel-powered tractor. At the back of the tractor is a 'cryogenic tank'. In that tank, the methane gas is cooled to 162 degrees below freezing and converted into liquid methane gas. Energy will be generated through the combustion of liquid methane. The same amount of energy is produced from methane gas as diesel. Researchers claim that this is the world's first dung-driven tractor. The tractor will reduce the use of fossil fuels and help protect the environment. At a time when various initiatives have been started in the world to reduce environmental pollution, this tractor will play an important role, said the research institute. According to Chris Mann, the co-founder of the tractor manufacturing company, Bennaman, this tractor is the product of 10 years of continuous research. After the invention, in a trial at a firm in Cornwall, they found that T-Seven tractors reduced carbon dioxide emissions from 2,500 to 500 tons in just one year. He claims, this research can be a big step to decarbonize the agricultural sector. Many people involved in agricultural profession keep cows. Dung has many uses. They are trying to modernize that method.
